You’re going to want to update your insurance policies when your baby comes. This might be one of the most boring parts of preparing to be parents but somebody has to do it!
My partner and I purchased life insurance when we found out we were going to be parents just to have a safety net for our baby in case (scary thought) anything bad happened to us. If you already have insurance, review your coverage and make adjustments for your baby.
We also made sure to add our baby to our health insurance as soon as they met the minimum age requirement (every company is different, but it does hover around the baby being at least three months old). We also looked into purchasing a more baby friendly car as that would have lowered our car insurance rates considerably!
And if you have the extra income, you can start looking into investing in your baby's future whether it's for college or any other reason!
